Elliptical Wheels Squeaking

Keep the machine clean and free of any debris by vacuuming around the moving parts and wiping the machine down with a clean cotton cloth. The plastic wheels seem to be causing the squeaking. Where is the squeak coming from. Make sure that you clean the ramp before each lubrication with a dry clean cloth.

I have a pro form 14 0 mme elliptical. Air gets sucked into the back of my elliptical as i pedal away and with frequent use it only makes sense that dust is going to get sucked in as well. It is only very new and put together and greased down properly. If you have a ramp and wheel system on your elliptical that is wheels and roll back and forth across a steel or aluminum ramp you will need to lubricate this every 4 to 6 months with liquid silicone.

Lubricate all moving parts during routine maintenance to prevent squeaks. It is so loud it makes the workout very annoying even with music playing. Apply a thin coat of all purpose grease to pivot points on the pedal arms and handle bars to eliminate squeaks. Lack of lubrication on pivot points can cause the elliptical to make squeaking noises. Is it coming from the wheels or from the gear mechanism.

As it happens the squeaking noise was caused by dust collecting in the back part of my machine where the belt meets the wheels. I love it and it was great for two weeks this week the third week we have had it it has developed a loud annoying squeak. I have a nordictrack act elliptical and it is squeakiing. It starting squeaking where the pedal arm contacts the pedal arm roller just as the roller reaches its forward limit of travel and starts changing direction to g.

If it s coming from the wheels you have a few options. Are they rubber wheels or are they made of plastic. Regularly inspect your machine for any loose connections and tighten them. Not sure what to do.
